Oh my goodness......please more! But this time, you own the apartment, and it has a view.....of green leafy trees that turn amber and crimson in the fall. The scent of pumpkin spice latte....something... something....

Of all the claims made about AI, the suggestion that it'll help "solve" climate change is, to me, the most risible. Such a claim could only come from people who do not understand the nature of the problem, or what addressing that problem requires.

And the winner of this year’s ✨Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year✨ goes to Andrea Dominizi!

Awarded for their poignant picture of a longhorn beetle seemingly watching the destruction of its own forest. Or maybe the beetle is a symbol of resilience, surviving against all the odds 📸🧪🪲
A longhorn beetle stands on a log in focus at the bottom left corner of the frame, as a logging machinery is pictured blurred in the background.

How does prospective mining on the Moon mirror prior forms of extractivism on Earth?

In July, I visited the Blåfjell and Tellnes Mines near #MagmaGeopark in Southwest Norway to collect video materials and talk with local experts about mining heritage.

Will watch this! Thanks! It would be wonderful if someone made a biopic. Especially now, as we enter the male-dominated AI age.

Nothing to celebrate.

Giving a prize on “sustained economic growth” in 2025 feels like celebrating the power of the Titanic’s engine after hitting the iceberg.

Episode 3 of the Overshoot podcast: «The Minsky Moment» just released.

The utter absurd assumption that economic growth will continue as «before» - even in a world of 4C of global warming - just gets wilder the more you think about it.

Fantastic that this attribution research by climate scientists is out in the world!

Hope citizens, schoolchildren & journos use it to hold fossil fuel corps like Woodside & their enablers like SA Premier Malinauskas & fed Enviro Min Watt accountable for deaths & enviro harm fr fossil fuel projects

Vote now, if you haven't already, for the Guardian's Bird of the Year 2025

It helps to nominate a bird that's endangered, giving it a much higher profile - like Baudin's black cockatoo for example

Please vote - this is a wonderful environmental exercise
