The same week that a synagogue once bombed by the KKK for supporting civil rights movement gets torched by an extremist xtian nationalist, we get this.

But it’s not new! How did anyone vote for this shit *twice*?

"Synagogue of Satan" is a phrase from the Book of Revelations that has been used historically to justify antisemitism (most theologians disagree with this interpretation)

We should talk more about extremist Christian Nationalism. Could start by not just letting it slide in our leadership.
The FBI says that a suspect in the arson fire at the Beth Israel Congregation in Jackson, Mississippi, admitted to targeting the institution because of its “Jewish ties.”

Court documents say 19-year-old Stephen Spencer Pittman called the historic house of worship "a synagogue of Satan."

still remember seeing this CD/DVD for sale in the early 00s - my curiosity as to what kind of Eazy-E inspired video games would be developed by Ruthless Records was outweighed by the fact that I was a tweener/teener and CDs were decisions y'know?

I’m seeing people get mad at this but it is a problem that any attempts to arrest an ICE officer come with a very real threat of them shooting at the police who try to do it and I think it’s good that Frey is talking about that. I don’t know how to deal with that either!
"The question that you're basically asking is, can our cops arrest them? From a legal perspective, yes. From a practical perspective...they have bigger guns than we do." That's where we're at.

It is endlessly frustrating that this smug prick who has enriched himself off flogging quack shit to desperate and sick people gets to now determine whether they deserve real medical care.

Would anyone be remotely surprised if members of this mobster admin were betting on their own actions on prediction markets? I’d be more shocked if it weren’t happening.
A mysterious trader won roughly $400,000 on the ouster of Venezuela’s Nicolás Maduro just hours before U.S. forces took him into custody, a well-timed bet that has drawn attention to whether there are sufficient guardrails around prediction markets.

Nothing like a member of Congress calling the US a “predator” while proposing we invade an ally to make intentions abundantly clear.

Ogles is also the same asshole who wants to repeal the 22nd Amendment so Trump can have another term.
Ogles: "It's important that we have a stake in Greenland, that they are quite frankly a protectorate of the US. They've been in relationship with Denmark - that needs to end. We've spilled more blood protecting Greenland than the Danes... we are the dominant predator force in the Western Hemisphere"

1/ This would seem to be a bad result for Trump, but the missing critical follow up is “and do you think this admin is placing that decision in the hands of Venezuelans?”

The answer is: absolutely nothing, and it's hard to tell whether that's an intentional signal to the dictators of the world or whether this admin truly does not think about anything that doesn't fit their narrow agenda of looting everything they can.

The look on Rubio's face - he's well aware of how wildly unconstitutional this is and still pathetically rubber-stamping it to cling to his humiliated lap dog position.
Q: Is it possible that the US ends up administering Venezuela for years?

TRUMP: Well, you know, it won't cost us anything because the money coming out of the ground is very substantial
January 3, 2026 at 6:23 PM
I realize we’re getting inured to lawlessness and autocracy, but any member of Congress who isn’t “concerned” over the wild overreach of an illegal act of war done without their being informed (to say nothing of approval) is asleep at the wheel.

It will get a lot less attention than when Fuentes was on the show, but Tucker Carlson just had one of the most popular and bigoted antisemitic influencers on his show.

Carlson is leaning further into overt antisemitism (he has always been coded). The antisemitic train has left the station.
