Surprise! The clowns are heading to @voidcon.bsky.social! @probablyharmless.bsky.social will be there all weekend and @cassandradaucus.bsky.social will be tabling with him on Friday (10/10), so please do visit us! We'll have stickers, a fanciful poll, and an exclusive zine! Be there or be square!
Screenshot of a text conversation between Theo and Cass. There is a photo at the top but it's cut off so you can't see what's in it. Cass posts the photo with a heart-eyes emoji. Theo replies "How to even choose????" Cass says, "I'm glad it's not up to me!" Theo responds, "Word" followed by a fire emoji. At the top there is a text overlay that reads, "Did we mention a fanciful poll?" The words "fanciful poll" are set off by sparkle emojis.

Gather round the campfire and let me tell you a scary story about scary stories, at @mrbullbull.bsky.social. Big thanks to @thedrevlow.bsky.social for publishing this, and to *you* for reading it. Happy camping! mrbullbull.com/newbull/fict...
“I’m not losing my mind, right? This guy was not in the picture we took.”
“Who the hell is he?” They’re squinting hard in the dark. He just looks like another one of them, to put it plainly. Like he could have been a fourth roommate. But there was no fourth roommate. It was always just the three of them.
“I have absolutely no memory of this dude. I’ve never seen him before in my life.”

I'm not going to say she had us at the title, but the title is a great selling point!
dielaughingmag.bsky.social
We won't choose and you can't make us! We're bringing you the best of hilarious horror (and we're also probably losing at cards).

#meme #unomeme #horror #humor #cantchoose #dielaughing
Uno meme! On the left, an Uno card that reads "choose between laughter and fear OR draw 25" and on the right, a seated person holding a hand full of so many Uno cards (clearly having drawn 25 to avoid such an unfair decision).

oh yay, contract signed so I can announce- I sold a weird "mushrooms eating people but it's told through academic journal article comments" story to @dielaughingmag.bsky.social !!!

it's truly silly and a little bit gross, and I hope people love it when it's out!

Did you miss us?

We're alive! We've been working hard behind the scenes to bring you Issues 5 and 6, and preparing some fun surprises for @voidcon.bsky.social (Oct. 9-11)! We'll be filling in more details in the coming weeks, but until then, here we are finalizing the next TOCs at DL Headquarters.
A selfie of the editors of Die Laughing Magazine! In the foreground is Theodore Hill (a bespectacled guy with short brown hair and a rather insane grin) and in the background, Cassandra Daucus (a bespectacled woman with shoulder length, light hair who) has clearly been interrupted from working on her laptop by Theo demanding they take a selfie.

Sick of the haters and the creeps? Had enough crap to last eons? The final free story from Issue 4 is this showstopper from @joellekillian.bsky.social "I'm Entering My Apocalyptic Era" - and with this much gore and glam, we think you'll be excited to join her!

dielaughingmag.com/2025/08/29/i...
On a green background, centered, a painting of the author (a person with long, red hair and a nest of snakes on her head a la Medusa) looking over her shoulder toward the viewer.

Top text: Joelle Killian's story "I'm Entering My Apocalyptic Era" is free to read on the Die Laughing Website.

In the lower left corner, the Die Laughing logo peeks in (an illustration of a dead clown in a coffin, with red hair and white gloved hands crossed over his chest. He has silver coins over his eyes).

In a speech bubble, the clown says "Sometimes you just want to burn the world down."

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Tom Lehrer has always been a particular favorite of both of the DL editors, and we are sad to see him go. May his memory be a blessing. Tom, we were certain you'd live forever, and we'd be holding your hand if we could.
