The setup of the performance and message was incredible. Even if you don't like this style of music, you should watch just for the tech wizardry that went into it and understand his message.

Sigh, this is annoying, since I check my email into one place to search and find what I need. I have been doing this for years.

Wait does this imply they CAN get into iPhones that are not in lockdown mode?
New from 404 Media: the FBI has been unable to get into the iPhone of raided Washington Post journalist because the phone had Lockdown Mode enabled. Apple markets Lockdown Mode mostly to stop spyware like NSO. Here, a real world example of it stopping access too www.404media.co/fbi-couldnt-...

Unfriendly reminder, AI is being used to destroy trust. Do not normalize the use of AI. AI can not reliably enhance videos or low-quality images.

This is the quiet replacement of reality. Do not let this be normalized.

If you get a message like this, SOMEONE IS TRYING TO HACK YOUR SIGNAL.

DO NOT GIVE THEM THAT CODE.

The top word is English followed by how it is written in the Cherokee language followed by how it is spelled in English then how to pronounce it phonetically.

Something to remember when dating photos online
I'm seeing people mistakenly claim the gun photo was posted before today, but its just how Google sometimes dates images based on the original date of the thread its posted in, not when it was posted. The photo was posted an hour ago in this 5 day old thread

Really, really recommend that Minnesotans in particular disable autoplay, I know it's annoying to have to click to see a GIF but it's not worth the mental health costs of seeing the first seconds (before you scroll by) of murders in our city over and over and over.
to turn off autoplaying video on the bluesky mobile app

select the icon in the top left corner

go to settings

go to content and media

make sure "autoplay videos and gifs" is toggled off

#dfir - If you don't want your stuff decrypted, probably shouldn't upload to someone else's computer, server, or system.
NEW: Microsoft handed the FBI the recovery keys to decrypt the hard drives of three laptops encrypted with BitLocker.

BitLocker is enabled by default in modern Windows laptops, but Microsoft also prompts users to upload the recovery keys to the company's cloud, which opens up this possibility.

This wasn't a leak. It was a compilation of self-reported publicly available information.
NEW: The ICE List website listing thousands of ICE employees cites LinkedIn as the source of much of its info about ICE agents. Despite DHS's threat to treat revealing agents' identities as a crime, it's trivial to find their profiles. @regret.bsky.social w/ the scoop: www.wired.com/story/ice-ag...

This is EVERYWHERE today. Please stop giving people bad advice. If wearing juggalo makeup and putting pebbles in your shoes even worked 10 years ago, they certainly don’t work now
I can't believe I have to say this, but please do not take revolutionary OPSEC advice from YA novels Cory Doctorow wrote almost twenty years ago.
