I think this movie plays it way too safe with its underdog story, but that didn't really detract from my viewing experience.
While I wouldn't call this Sony Animation's absolute best movie, I still thought it was very fun. Worth the watch if animated basketball is your thing.

Disney was actually surprised at it's sucess beacuse they where betting so hard on Moon Girl becoming the next big hit during the first half of S1A of that show.
Kiff is their first show that gets standalone specials between seasons beacuse kids loved it so much.

#GOAT is good, but so close to being great. Despite its cliched story, dull lead, and hit or miss humor, it’s still enjoyable enough with its animation, cool basketball scenes, and fun supporting characters. Not one of Sony’s best, but it’s still good.

#GOAT is good, but so close to being great. Despite its cliched story, dull lead, and hit or miss humor, it’s still enjoyable enough with its animation, cool basketball scenes, and fun supporting characters. Not one of Sony’s best, but it’s still good.

It’s great to see the director of the original “Pirates of the Caribbean” trilogy and “Rango” return to the big screen after nearly a decade.
Sam Rockwell’s performance easily carried this movie, and I just thought it was a great ride overall.

Watched "Wonder Man", which I found a fascinating character study willing to show the flaws of its lead protagonist and Ben Kingsley especially shines as Trevor Slattery.

Against my better judgment, I watched a certain comedian's recent video on Tim Burton's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"...only to get annoyed at him frequently calling it a remake and not judging it as an adaptation of the book or on its own merits.
