Oh, y'all thought Sangor only transformed on purpose? Afraid not, and in fact most of the plot is figuring out WHY the most powerful being on the planet is turning into scary chompy monsters at random (in the middle of battle!) and it's just as awful as it sounds.

I just really fucking love telling stories and I don’t just mean making up stories although that is fun in itself, I find joy in the art form of telling a story: choosing words, settings, format, medium, visuality on the page, I enjoy all of it. Writers are artists and I love the arts.

Magic spells are not reversible (with a few exceptions) so once you decide to take on a new ability via magic, it's permanent. And the magic will always want to be used. And after the initial spell-working to get the ability, it activates without words, action, or even intention 1/4

Only three characters in the entire story (1500 year timeline) are considered "masters" of magic--one of them being Sangor, the god who invented it. According to his own rules, someone is a master of magic when they can create their own spells rather than learn ones already written 1/2

A man in my state shot and murdered his daughter in a political argument and has yet to face any consequences from our so-called justice system which also allows non-criminals and CITIZENS to be held in concentration camps.
