To my friends in Gaza, so sorry I can’t donate to all of you. All I can do is share your campaigns and i’ll do that the best I can.

To everyone else, imagine the indignity of having to beg on social media apps. Sharing helps visibility if you can’t donate and please don’t report them as spam.

And I guess that's all I really hope for. Enjoy it, I did.

This is a very interesting question because I thought a lot about my books carrying on without me back when I had much less mental fortitude and thought a lot about unaliving myself but I never really considered much *what exactly* I wanted people to think about them except "good art"

This did not stop him from engaging in mercenary work and often killing bees of other Hives when paid well enough, and he didn't make much effort to stop abuse when he saw it. He believes survival of the fittest is the rule of the land and people who stand out or try to be different die young.

hardship, because the Queen's Citadel hoarded the water for the bees alone and no one could match their vicious army. Ballard saw the treatment of drones left to fend for themselves outside the Hive and understood that the Queen was an oppressor to everyone, not just the humans or non-bees. +

Ballard grew up watching his family scrape by and struggle while faced with thieves and predators. Death was extremely common, and fights broke out all the time between the humans and other insect-folk trying to survive the harsh environment. a male winning the crown would be the biggest step forward for drones rights they could hope for after thousands of years of living under the tyrant Queen/Goddess who enforced this hierarchy. Even after he wins, the Hive rejects a King and exiles him, but he continues his bid for the crown anyway+

is told again and again this is impossible, Atl is certain even to the point of giving up the crown to live as a male, though the male bees in the Hive are treated as property of the Queen with very limited rights. He goes through with the tournament only after the drones in the Hive express that +

Atl was raised as one of three potential replacements for the deceased Queen of the Hive, knowing his entire life that he would have to fight his siblings to the death for the crown. Further complicating things, he knows he is not a Queen... that is, he knows he is not female. Though he+

Atl is proud, hot-tempered, often defensive. He was raised as royalty, but trauma, rejection, and fear of not being enough has made him bitter and desperate to prove himself. Being sheltered and having next to no life experience outside of constant battle training means he is more naive +

Maybe I'm just smarter than Mike here but I can imagine a scenario in which both a pregnant American and an "illegal rabble rouser" both receive acceptable care because THATS WHAT HOSPITALS ARE FUCKING FOR
