I do wonder why people fight this. Foreshadowing is satisfying to write! It's fun! Sometimes a detail from a previous/related story gives me an idea, which turns into even more sneaky stuff (ha ha, hee hee, ho ho, etc).
I want people to figure things out as they go; it means they're invested!
