trans rights are human rights. If you believe that a human has rights you need to vote against this. That is the bare minimum ask of democrats.

This means that Democrats will have to raise a point of order on this part of the bill. This would force a vote on the amendment that would require 60 votes. Republicans have 53 Senate seats, so it means they would need to pick off 7 Democrats for this.

The designation shows up on job applications and government forms; it impacts a person's ability to get jobs with a security clearance or even immigrate, as Alex's spouse and children are doing, while Alex stays behind.

i’m hurt. my mom my own mother doesn’t “believe” there are more than two genders. says some who is amab cannot “feel” like a woman and cannot be a woman. i am beyond hurt. i cannot continue living in that household but i cannot afford moving. i don’t know how to continue living at all.
