I am proud to announce that the New Jersey Studies Academic Alliance has named my book, “Made in Paterson: The Life and Legacy of US Senator William Hughes,” a recipient of their 2024 Author Awards.
I have to say these kids were great though. They were here for 90 minutes and asked a ton of questions. Their grandma had given them an assignment to find 5 facts about their hometown. They both knew a lot for 6 and 8 years old.
At our local museum today, two boys came in with their grandmother. They noticed a piece of steel from the World Trade Center and their grandmother tried to tell them about 9/11. One of the boys just looked at her, shrugged, and said: “9-11? I only know 6-7.” 🫠
Definitely. A worthy release but one can understand why he shelved it in favor of the original demo tape. The studio recordings just didn’t capture the vibe of those songs.
Yes! Love some of the electric versions - but they are mostly ones have previously heard before in a live setting. Different lyrics on AC are great!

This morning my ChatGPT quota was inexplicably exhausted.

It took a while but I pieced it together. Voice mode somehow got activated when I went to bed.

The bot then engaged in a 10 hour conversation with my snoring dog, answering questions the pup wasn’t asking and praising him for his insight.
Pretty clear where things go from here:
-SCOTUS strikes down VRA section 2.
-Southern states gerrymander many minority-majority districts out of existence.
-impossible for Dems to win House in 28.
-GOP majority refuses to certify Dem winner of EC.
-SCOTUS refuses to intervene in “political ?.”

When I was in college marching band someone was responsible for researching the opposing school’s admissions stats to see if we could chant “SAT scores!” if (usually when) the football team was losing really badly.
my wife is a Cal fan and apparently this week they’re putting a “59” on their football helmets to honor the 59 Nobel laureates tied to Cal in order to flex on Duke

this is maybe my favorite dunk anyone has ever done on Duke
