“AI” isn’t a tool or technology or even a cluster of technologies with a misleading name. It’s the infrastructure at the foundation of a form of capitalism dependent on data brokering. We should be teaching our students about this and not teaching them about “responsible” use.

ALL of the “HEY CHUMP WANT 10% OFF” pop-ups are stupid but the worst are the ones that don’t appear until you interact with the page like the most annoying salesperson on the floor.
It’s hard for me to believe these things aren’t counterproductive to how the company is perceived by customers.
