WARNER: It used to take 5 to 6 months to get trained. They've now lowered the training period to 47 days. Why 47 days? Because Donald Trump's the 47th president. Tell me that's a rational approach

NEW: GoFundMe's rules forbid fundraisers tied to legal funds for violent crimes. One for the ICE agent who killed Renee Good, currently nearing $500K, changed the language in its description after @wired.com reached out (but not in the images at the top of the page, oops) @dell.bsky.social reports:
GoFundMe Ignores Own Rules by Hosting a Legal-Defense Fund for the ICE Agent Who Killed Renee Good
The fundraiser for the ICE agent in the Renee Good killing has stayed online in seeming breach of GoFundMe’s own terms of service, prompting questions about selective enforcement.

NEW: Court records obtained by @wired.com show that an FBI agent's testimony contradicted claims Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent who killed Renee Nicole Good, made under oath in December; the testimony also raises questions about Ross following his training. This is by @hudsongiles.bsky.social and me:
FBI Agent’s Sworn Testimony Contradicts Claims ICE’s Jonathan Ross Made Under Oath
The testimony also calls into question whether Ross failed to follow his training during the incident in which he reportedly shot and killed Minnesota citizen Renee Good.

STORY: The GoFundMe for Jonathan Ross Bill Ackman gave $10k to was created by a man with a profile image of what the ADL called a white supremacist hate symbol, who called Good “a stupod bitch who got what she deserved.”

It's raised over $400k and is still live.

This is so insightful and really the ballgame with the Fed argument later this month. Does Roberts view Trump as a *liability* to the long term Republican project, at least w/r/t the Fed.
The Chief’s every move is predicated on his understanding that Republicans created the Roberts Court to rule our country. When he moves a majority against Trump, that’s not moderation. It’s a recognition that Trump’s become a liability Roberts’s project to perpetuate Republican power.
