When a law enforcement officer aims a weapon at someone wielding a camera, it is procedurally unsound and unprofessional in two fundamental ways:
1) It is disproportional to any actual threat and is instead an unprovoked threat against a citizen.
2) The officer is a crazed, untrained asshole.

This is all bullshit, by the way. There is no imminent risk of rotting crops, according to experts and farmworker unions. It's a ploy to cut wages (even below state minimum wages) for foreign workers, which will eventually hit U.S. workers too.
So much for America First!
Trump Labor Department Says His Immigration Raids Are Causing a Food Crisis

So this is funny.
The administration just issued a rule slashing foreign agricultural worker wages. And to justify it, in a public filing, Trump's Labor Department alleges that Trump's immigration enforcement has devastated the Ag workforce and caused a "risk of supply shock-induced food shortages."

Long story short: Bluesky banned a popular user named Link. Link's vanished from Bluesky, but because he'd migrated to the Blacksky servers, his data has been preserved. And now Blacksky is going to fire up the system that will put Link back online on Blacksky.

Good reporting on the South Shore raid from South Side weekly here.

Confirms one thing I was told but didn't put in my own piece because I didn't have a second source and it seemed too insane: border agents segregated arrested residents by race
