My message for Wes Streeting let’s ‘Bring back the Family Doctor’ in 2026

It’s possible!

Have a great Christmas, hoping for a great New Year!

“Like colleagues across the movement, I have in recent weeks been appalled by Wes Streeting’s attacks on resident doctors and their union. It is simply unacceptable for a Labour politician to describe striking workers as ‘morally reprehensible’.”

Here is the clip of it being announced in the Commons (alongside several other government & private members bills).

A government health minister just announced plans to use the private sector to build and maintain neighbourhood health centres.

This is PFI 2.0.

PFI is an unforgivable waste of public money - straight into private profit and at the expense of patient care.

My solidarity is with striking @bma.org.uk resident doctors today. Not with a Health Secretary who attacks a union in the media rather than negotiating and working with them to address drs’ serious concerns.

We all need a solution to stop dr attrition and burnout and make patient care safe.

Specialist schools require specialist teachers, of which there is a shortage. This doesn't remotely help children with special educational needs. It excludes them from education in a kind of "warehousing" move which treats them as "less than" other children.
