If the Ukraine war was Die Hard, I feel like Zelenskyy is John McClane, Putin is obviously Hans Gruber and Trump is Harry Ellis, the salesman trying to get Gruber to make a deal.
The genius of the peace talks is that it has moved the narrative from away from focusing what Ukraine needs to win to what needs to be done for a pause. No one is talking about defeating Russia anymore.

America needs to be a member of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and abide by findings of the International Court of Justice (ICJ). It needs to be accountable on the world stage.

Today's abysmal jobs report is a reminder that tax cuts for corporations and the rich don’t create jobs or grow the economy.

What's required is investment in working people — and better wages.

When workers have money to spend, the economy grows and businesses create more jobs.

Remember this.

Putin operates exactly like Hitler. I was held in one of his Nazi-style filtration camps.
I was only exchanged because he wanted Medvedchuk, otherwise, I’m certain I would have died there.

Istanbul. Alaska. Geneva. Results? Nothing.
Why? Because:
Russia doesn’t want peace.
Team Trump wants business deals.
Europe refuses to shape events in Europe.

Berlin will be no different.

Ukraine has opened another front against Russia. Ukraine has begun striking Russian oil platforms and ships in the Caspian Sea. Russia is helpless to stop these Ukrainian drone and missile attacks.

Zelensky visited Kupyansk to humiliate Putin and all of his worthless military generals. Putin wanted to prove victory for Russia was inevitable and instead he just exposed how weak Russia really is right now.

Trump is frustrated by Russia and Ukraine's failure to agree to end the war. Maybe if he spent some time understanding the conflict, he would not be so frustrated.

…Russia sends them to fight&to die.

Because Russia is an empire, and an empire has a center but has no borders. An empire always tries to expand. And that is why when we speak about deported children, children under Russian occupation, it's not just a human rights problem. It's a security problem."

It really must frustrate Trump and Putin that Zelenskyy is not corrupt.

Ukraine successfully destroyed 70% of the storage facilities for Russia's LNG export terminal in Krasnodar. Russia lost another An-22 military aircraft and several pairs of military pilots to accidents in Russia.

Putin is in Xi’s pocket.
Republicans and Democrats alike should be able to agree: that’s bad for America.

It's not credible the US would fight a nuclear war over Europe if they aren't willing to contribute conventionally.

The bald hypocrisy of the Trump administration shouting about free speech violations in democratic Europe without saying so word about massive violations of free speech in autocratic Russia (or Belarus) is striking and tragic.

And it goes from humiliating to malicious when the main produce of the company is oligarchical fascism. Since I'm not an elected official, I will add this: the fine should be hundreds of *billions*, and it should be used to fund local reporting and computer-free public schools and universities (2/2)
