My job exists in every industry. In tech, I can do the least complex version of my job for double the money of any other industry, but tech is getting stupider, more embarrassing, and (for lack of a better term) more fake every year

We moved from Atlanta about 2 hours south 3 years ago and we’re still a solid hour south of Atlanta, so I think your timeline can be safely revised by a decade or so.

Yeah it’s obviously not as dramatic because everyone’s religious tolerance is well established, but like the first reformation, absolutely dependent on novel media forms & totally lacking an evolved ideological framework that discourages seeking formal state power

I think these essays are actually a really great way to teach a bunch of pre-socialization college freshmen how to take joy in the act of writing, but also that they should never, ever be published

Yeah, I also grew up Pentecostal and at least at that time, predestination type Reform was hovering somewhere around Catholic in the grand constellation of fake Christians

They’re surprisingly resilient. Part of the problem is they just don’t taste as good as you’d think compared to the literal same animal, but raised on a farm. They’re also quite smart & very dangerous to stalk.

It’s basically an intractable problem & likely to get worse as fewer & fewer people hunt
