I have a love/hate relationship with that game.

Love the setting and the transhumanism. Hate the rules and all the potential bookkeeping that might come with forking, resleeving, dying, etc.

Tbf, I only read the 1st ed. Even read most supplements.

Is 2nd edition different? How?

I believe most ttrpg GMs have a game they deeply love but never get to play enough.

Mine is Mage: the Ascension.

Amazing magick system, deep philosophical ideas, hope and rebellion as themes. So much to love!

Mage and Changeling both changed my life in profound ways when I was about the age of my students.

Maybe it could change theirs, as well?

As much as I love that game, I'd like to shake things up a bit after nearly 6 years.

I started re-reading M20 and I finally found the courage to tackle that challenge.

It might take a while before it happens, but if I get permission, it's happening for sure.

M20 and Mircea Eliade were my first inspirations for this course, but I never got around to make explicit and deliberate use of Mage, yet.

I use rpgs for most of my classes, even for Worldviews. Mainly The Bloody-Handed Name of Bronze.

That's great news! What you (and the other collaborators) have done with Mage since 2nd ed has had a real impact on my life and I'm happy to learn more is on the way.

My only small complaint is that even though the book suggests we can roll a d66 for random spell zines, the spells are numbered 1 to 36.

Played our first Blood Borg session last night. I ran "Raid the Normie Club" and we all had a great time!

Our own 198X felt closer to 1987 as we reminisced about ad jingles and other references.

Looking forward to play it again!

Sounds a lot like what we do as parents of toddlers: giving them whatever they ask for in the hope of avoiding a tantrum or having some quiet time.

Thing is, it doesn't work and demands are only getting bigger.

Plus, kiddo learns to treat parents as servants.
