Between this and echoism, I barely understand what a concept of 'me' is in relationship to others; someone tells me that they love me, and I struggle so hard to understand what it even feels like to be loved because it never feels like 'me' they are saying it to, it feels like a void.

Communication is important, and those that lean on obscuring through vagueness or even flirting without being able to commit to a straight answer when asked is a bad sign.

i think the skill i've learned from the past ten years of being an adult in adult polyam relationships is this:
Just have the frank and unsexy conversation.
Just do it. talk about whatever needs to be talked about. negotiate boundaries. plan schedules. express needs. be really boring about it.
