History shows us that propaganda works, in peacetime we call it PR & we know humans are good a manipulating the thoughts & actions of others
Going against dominant propaganda is scary & is to have a 🎯 on your back. U.K. can’t even reverse Brexit propaganda, I feel we must be kind to Americans.

The Apollo mission relied on skilled weavers to build the computer memory necessary for the spacecraft. www.sciencenews.org/article/core...
Core memory weavers and Navajo women made the Apollo missions possible
The stories of the women who assembled integrated circuits and wove core memory for the Apollo missions remain largely unknown.

Happy #ThoughtfulThursday lovely phone family. How's your week so far?
I often wonder if people grow to be selfish and mean-spirited because they never experienced genuine kindness in their lives. It's so sad when that's such an easy gift to give 🥰
Have an ace day everyone 🌷

Wishing a happy Mothers' Day to all the mums I know.

Thinking too of anyone grieving the loss of a mum, anyone who is unable to have kids but would have liked to, and also any mum who has lost a child.

Much love to you all whatever your situation.

THIS IS SHOCKING - the financial links between MPs and the private healthcare sector. We have just completed research showing that...

MPs received more than £2.7m in donations from individuals and companies directly or indirectly connected to the private healthcare sector between 2023 and 2025 🚨

As an aside, because I’m appalled by Labours benefit reform, there was ZERO real engagement or outrage when the Tories killed hundreds of thousands with austerity and put 4m kids in poverty.

But, 250k more people in poverty (including 50k children) to save a small amount is contemptible, frankly.

Another insightful thread from @nialloconghaile.bsky.social

"Europe has to be aspirational, and ultimately people and eventually politics, will change."
@chrisgrey.bsky.social's most recent piece concerns the problems in Reform.

That there are bust-ups within far-right parties should not surprise - they tend to be flammable - but this one is particularly entertaining.

This raises urgent questions about the cost of cheap food. Intensive livestock farming may meet demand, but at what environmental price?
