These ppl don't understand anything. To them everything is just some thought exercise that can be solved by just being smart enough.

So much of science is, "So this is weird. I wonder why X does that?"

LLMs will never have intellectual curiosity bc you can't create that using a statistical model.

So, we're just out of ideas huh? An AI powered dog washer?

If this ever comes into being and you put your dog in it, then they should immediately rehome your pup.

To be fair, I trust the government a lot less now that Elon is in it.
Bitch you are the government.

Don’t believe the Trump administration’s lies. De-funding the NIH, excluding students from specific backgrounds from funding, and excluding research studying women and other underrepresented groups is not “efficient.” It’s destroying science.

The more I think about this list, the worse it is. The people who came up with it presumably think AI is the solution to everything, so why not run the abstracts through AI to determine if it's too woke? Either they don't believe it's "smart enough" or it's too expensive at the scale needed.
🚨BREAKING. From a program officer at the National Science Foundation, a list of keywords that can cause a grant to be pulled. I will be sharing screenshots of these keywords along with a decision tree. Please share widely. This is a crisis for academic freedom & science.

What a loss. I think a rewatching of Twin Peaks is in the cards for me.
Director-writer David Lynch, who radicalized American film with with a dark, surrealistic artistic vision in films like “Blue Velvet” and “Mulholland Drive” and network television with “Twin Peaks,” has died. He was 78. bit.ly/40is3yQ

The more I learn about the failed coup in Korea, it was so close to having been SO SO bad. History books bad. But the people have learned from their history and acted SO QUICKLY to stand up for their freedom en masse and hold politicians accountable that it was over before many knew it happened.

Check the map on www.sf72.org/hazard/tsuna...

If you're in a blue zone, move towards the E's to get to high ground or move to an upper floor if you can't get to high ground.

So I have been promoting this like crazy to friends but by coincidence this weekend I read Banned Book Club by @ryanestrada.com and it gave me some great context around the history of Korean democracy that was helpful in understanding the broader implications of what happened yesterday. 📚👀 #booksky

Wow, crazy to see members of a government quickly move to hold leaders accountable who actively threaten democracy instead of dragging it out over years.

We really need to spend a lot more time observing how other democracies function.

Most other countries don't do this. We should really be asking ourselves what makes America unique where this is acceptable or "needed".
I get the need to safeguard from shoplifting but this CVS setup is insane.

*sighs* This is exactly why I am going to need you ALL to get behind Jentry Chau Vs The Underworld as soon as it launches on Dec 5th.

I promise you’re gonna love it. You’ll be gutted if we don’t get to tell more of her story (not in a cliffhangery way, in a these-characters-freaking-rule way).

This article is talking about different DNA testing companies. It's true that Ancestry was bought by Blackstone, they do not use Atlas Biomed for their genotyping service, they use Quest Diagnostics which is US based.
