I'm not doing Black Friday discounts this year.
It’s just me in my Manchester studio. I can't compete with big brands slashing prices.
Every purchase keeps my tiny business going.

Indie makers, artists, illustrators, give us a heads up about what you do. I don't have a great reach or anything, but would love to see your work - in the spirit of an antidote to the empty capitalist churn of black Friday if you will 👍

Something needs to happen in Pluribus, huh? I get that it's a character study, but give me Body Snatchers - either Don Siegel's or Philip Kaufman's Invasion of - every time.

Liverpool cinemas don't seem to be showing Lucile Hadžihalilović's latest, The Ice Tower. I loved her previous two - Evolution (2015) and Earwig (2021) - so that is, to say the least, disappointing. In addition, it's a retelling of a wintry tale; perfect, you'd think, for the time of year? ❄️
