As I understand it, that would have been funnier had the Phillies been the NL representative.
@the-owen-w.bsky.social Good news on the #CanMNT backline? Really?
Alistair Johnston starts for Celtic vs. Sturm Graz in his return from his hamstring injury.

Fantastic news for the #CanMNT, as seeing him compete with Laryea and Sigur for starting fullback roles at the World Cup could be a focus in the November window.
That is such an odd and very Vancouver-sport thing to say. I mean they bowed out in the second round after blowing the lead to Edmonton, right?
He needs the right vehicle for his talents. Perhaps cast him and Jessica Alba in a Romantic Comedy called β€œThis Will Never Work”. Get M. Night Shyamalan to direct.
@lowetide.bsky.social Made me think of you, Al.
3 run home run! Earl Weaver used to say that baseball was pitching, defence, and the 3 run home run. Blue Jays 4 Mariners 3.
Yes, thanks. That’s what I had thought. They may not know who will come out of each path at the December 5th draw (playoffs aren’t until March) but they will know from where the teams in each path are from (AFC, CAF and CONCACAF in one - for example - and CONMEBOL, OFC and CONCACAF in the other).
But Canada COULD be drawn against, say Costa Rica, should they win one of the IC-PO paths?
Are the two Intercontinental Playoff spots given the regional restrictions for the draw of the top-seeded team in the path or all the teams in the path? That is, can a host nation have an IC-PO team drawn into their group (a CONCACAF team in both paths) or not?
As always AGR, thanks for the work and engagement. Enjoy today’s matches.
Mark-Antony Kaye is another whose time has passed but still, thank you for your service. Unattached FC no more.
Yes was thinking about him & even his new teammate, Salter, up top. Speaking of, don’t think I included Badwal as an option. In the midfield could as have included Stephen Afrifa and Ryan Raposo. I think the ship has sailed on McGraw and MacNaughton as CB options but look at that depth everywhere!
Camp Poutine would still be a solid squad though a little light up top. (I am assuming Ali Ahmed gets his Jan move to Europe and I am focused on the 3rd keeper fight so giving St. Clair and CrepΓ©au a pass on this camp).
@joshuakloke.bsky.social @bensteiner00.bsky.social November, March and the pre-World Cup send-off matches are the 6 remaining matches for the β€œA” squad before World Cup kick-off next June. Has there been any further discussion about a Camp Poutine in January?
Whoa my friend. Last article you casually drop Alfie Jones and now you’re name dropping Marcelo Flores?
Thanks, again. In terms of the press I take it that Jesse prefers Tani up front but in terms of creating chaos in the box (which JoDavid seems lab-created to exploit) do we have enough data points to justify starting Promise David against a low block over Oluwaseyi?
Laryea is a lock for the squad but not in the starting Xl in my mind.

Here is where I am right now:
I’m choosing to go with my memory of the injustice.
