As a young person, I was fiercely against digital ID, as I was worried about encroaching state power leading to a version of fascism. Now I see that that’s not the real risk - it’s that people *invite* fascism, not that it’s always something initially imposed by the state.

Highly on brand that I started listening to this episode and immediately got fed an advert from an oil company. And it wasn’t even greenwashing lol, it was talking about business efficiency.

Can I just say as something of a watch nerd, the new U.K. railway clock is great. Really stands out in the visual clutter, lovely detail on the logo seconds. The kind of design that makes you glad to be home when coming from abroad.
