So when Jax Beer aired a commercial with Black people as normal consumers, it quietly broke a barrier. No stereotypes. No “roles.” No wink‑wink racism.

Just people at a party.

Representation didn’t arrive with a marching band — it slipped in through a beer ad. (cont)

Hillary’s “basket of deplorables” speech *defended* conservatives.

Paraphrasing: “Some call all Republicans racist, homophobic, and otherwise bigoted, but that’s unfair to millions. It’s only half, the rest are good people.”

But the press made calling an openly bigoted campaign bigoted a scandal.
Kind of wild how the take that some of Trump's supporters were "deplorable" was some huge scandal, but regularly screaming about "radical left scum" is just a thing he'll say with no media backlash.

This is profoundly un-American.

No—that's not right.

It's *anti*-American.

It's hatred of the United States and its founding documents and all its people and all its traditions.

The person who wrote and approved this is a weirdo who detests everything that America stands for.

Susan Collins just voted to confirm all of these Trump nominees in a single vote. Only possible because of a Senate rule change that she helped push through over the objection of Democrats.

Collins sided against 85 Biden nominees -- all or nearly all highly qualified. #MEpolitics

I grew up a mile from a mall that died when I was in my teens and this is so fucking accurate. We’re already at the “everyone is afraid to go there because of the crowd” phase.
The U.S. is giving dying mall vibes.

I can't explain it, but you know I'm right.

That means undisclosed, right-wing donors will start pouring tons of cash into Hawley's organization, leaving Americans in the dark about who is trying to influence them.

While searching for something else I stumbled upon this fascinating op-ed from Dec. 2015--ten years ago. It appeared in the Greenville, SC Index-Journal. It matter-of-factly pointed out that Trump was beloved by white nationalists like Jared Taylor. This was BEFORE the first GOP primary was held.

Every single reporter there needs to hold the line on this too.

Don't throw him a lifeline with another question if he dodges. Have each other's backs and demand he answer the question.
Just to get ahead of this: Print the post out and bring it to the next Mike Johnson presser. You already know what his move will be. There’s no excuse to not be prepared for it.
