And yes, a fair chunk of this is on me - late-stage meatspace!Twitter was a mess, and actually I mishandled some things by being _too_ conflict-averse, in hindsight. (It looks like what I thought was my last-ditch effort to save a declining friendship may have had the effect of doing it in.)

It continues to be a very strange day. I've also found out that someone I used to know definitely does not want to speak to me again. On the one hand, fine, obviously I'll respect their wishes. On the other, it's a weird feeling knowing that nearly 25 years is definitely and absolutely over.

So the next thing to do is going to be to get the electricity turned back on, then start trying to disentangle the mess of unpaid bills the previous owners seem to have left in their wake, because of course they did 🙃

Rang the agents - they're open on Saturdays - to see if I can come down and pick up the keys yet, as we agreed yesterday. And guess what? They're not answering their phone, because of course they aren't, are they? 🙃

If you want one of my really spicy furry-adjacent opinions - proper "too-hot-to-handle potato" level -, I've always had a nagging feeling that one day, Telegram is going to absolutely bite our community on the arse in some way. We're certainly too dependent on it, no arguments there.
