For reasons, I've just traded a 20-40 min commute for one that averages about an 1h10m. With my toddler and infant (daycare at my work).
It's a big scary change, but oddly better? We still leave at the same time, I just start a bit later. Still working out pick-up and how to wrangle that. But 1/

My mom told me that my dad refused to change my diapers when I was a baby because he couldn't handle the smell. I wish he was still alive for a lot of reasons, but one of them is that I wish I could tell him about the insane mess I just had to clean up and that he's a fucking pussy.

"...an emerging field of research that seeks to determine whether AI is conscious..." is a statement so wrong I can't begin to unpack. If you can't take the time to engage with a slither of the AI research across the arts & sciences over the years you should not be touching this topic. Read a book.
