My home river was the Connecticut, but as a rower I had so many rivers that become temporary homes: the Mohawk, the Charles, the Ouse, the Thames, and the Schuylkill.
The Schuylkill, but I still consider the river of my youth - the New River - to be my home river.
My favorite Twitter prompt was "RT this with your home river," so reskeet this with your home river.

Mine is the Patuxent.

Everything is terrible right now, and on top of that some news about the passing of one of my favorite college professors, Dr. Carl George. He was an amazing teaching, scholar, and activist. I wish there were more like him at this moment.
May his memory be a blessing.

Happy new year, all! Can anyone recommend good critical sources on redacted names/ blanks/ initialism in C18th lit? I'm looking for something about the various purposes of the practice, whether for real names or fictional, and my context is popular fiction in 1790s. TIA! #skystorians #c18th

This article is written in an extremely confusing way, but it's neat that they found this old press.
Hidden in a closet, a 200-year-old piece of Boston’s printing past emerges - The Boston Globe
The press, built by Adam Ramage of Philadelphia in about 1815, is among only two or three believed to remain in existence.
