I just thought it was a trick to get people to buy a’merkin
the year is 2030. a doctor solemnly informs you that you have plastic in your testicles bc millions of people persuaded by celebrity marketing bought synthetic pubic hairs that were eventually consumed by fish that you ate
The Daily Beast writes: "Kim Kardashian's brand SKIMS has sold out its synthetic pubic hair thongs and is now accumulating a waitlist for the product." Their tweet is accompanied by a link to a post with the story.
Ditto. I made a Chicken Caesar Salad for lunch.

Didn't have all the ingredients, but it worked just fine without the lettuce.
Kinda. We have a minimum monthly committed spend we need to hit, and we're not. If we don't spend it, we have to pay it anyway.
Something I thought I would never say...

I'm struggling to think of how we can spend a lot of money on AWS at short notice.

You gently run your hand through the rack. You can feel it—pure cotton, rich wool, Irish linen. The plump buttonholes are handsewn; the buttons attached with a firm shank. You flip the price tag over. It's affordable

You buy the jacket and go home, which is only 15 mins away. Your apt is $600/month

So-orig it was $551m for 2 top of the line Korean rail ferries delivered this year & next. It cost National $671m to cancel them. We don’t know the added price for these Chinese Ferries-hopefully they won’t be full of asbestos like the rail carriages were #nzpol www.1news.co.nz/2025/10/14/g...

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
My dad used to answer the phone with the 5 digit version of their number, even though they moved to 7 digits 30 years before.
No, but it's adjacent product that we've been using for more than a decade. They got acquired by a VC in Feb and now are turning on their customers to try and make a quick buck.

I can only assume AI features will be promoted as reason to upgrade.
That is one thing I do envy the Northern Hemisphere.
Y'all have a bunch more identifiable constellations than we do down here.

DAY 1673!?!!!???!

That's commitment.
I Photoshop Paddington into a movie, TV show, or pop culture until I forget: Day 1673

I think it was Teac who tried to promote a tape variant that was "designed for LP recording" claiming their spindles were optimised for slower rotation speeds.
