Elon Musk’s anti-woke version of Wikipedia, Grokipedia, cites neo-Nazi forums in multiple places as source.

A great validation of the notion that when people say they’re anti-woke, they just mean they’re hyper racist.
Elon Musk’s Grokipedia cites Stormfront — a neo-Nazi forum — dozens of times, study finds
An analysis by researchers at Cornell University is the first comprehensive look at Grokipedia since Musk launched his project last month.

Thread. “AI is patching up the holes in conspiracy theories and so making them seem more reasonable, making them easier to spread and more resilient to collapse” was not on my bingo card.

AI relieves the pressure of cognitive dissonance. That’s … not great.
Bellingcat’s contact email has always been a magnet for people with fairly unusual views; paranoid delusions, sprawling conspiracies, the works. But recently, the pattern has shifted, we’re seeing more and more emails clearly written with ChatGPT.

TL; DR
In the next 5 business days you should be able to go to Link's page on blacksky.community and see his posts and he'll be able to post but people using the bsky mobile apps won't see it.
After that we'll get Blacksky-only posts up.
After that we can talk about purging bsky mod tools

Polymarket users bet on Coinbase’s CEO saying certain words including bitcoin, ethereum and web3 during the earnings call. He literally loaded up the site and just read aloud all the words at the end of the earnings call.

He found an even less regulated market to manipulate than crypto. Legendary.

I have been traveling and today I present to you...the thing I saw in the Frankfurt airport.

Is it efficient? Undeniably. Does it probably work better than the normal way? Oh certainly. Produce less of a mess? Probably?

But the existence of Condiment Udders gives me a deep, aghast disquiet.

I can't recommend going and seeing Kiss of the Spider Woman in theaters enough. It's incredibly queer, it's deeply political, it has a Latinx cast, it's wrenchingly difficult but it's also fun. It steps back and forth between brutal struggle for justice and campy dance scenes and yet it makes sense.

"We must not claim we can prevent what we can not" codeberg.org/spritely/oca...

It's important to develop user experiences that explain clearly to people what is and isn't prevented. Right now Bluesky is full of posts from people saying you can't be surveilled, or to go followers-only for privacy.
BLOCKING DOES NOT MAKE YOU IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE. NOR DOES MAKING YOUR ACCOUNT LOGGED IN ONLY.

Bluesky has a *PUBLIC* "firehose" which includes all posts by everyone and it is open for anyone to read! It's not just bluesky servers, this is a public service!! Please understand the tech you use.
someone on here said i was wrong and blocked me after i tried to explain to them that blocking government accounts is not going to prevent the government from seeing their posts. we are so cooked, as the kids say
