I actually pulled over on the side of the road to take this photo. I never know what I will see when I cut through a posh neighborhood on my way home…

What’s the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself?
I once burned my eye brows while lighting a miniature live steam tractor. It failed to light, so I had a look down just as I clicked the lighter one more time and all the accumulated butane gas turned into a fireball right into my face…
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

😅

What’s at the end of this rainbow? A gold Chevrolet Malibu Maxx, of course!
(And yes autocorrect: it is spelled with two x)

I built a very narrow (1.5”) shelf along the wall and I glued some reinforcing strips to a L shaped piece of foam core. What am I building? All will be revealed tomorrow night…

This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.

I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with trains that carry both freight and passengers.
What about a funicular that does it?

I like how some Japanese model railroaders with very limited space represent mainline trains by cutting them down to single truck length. I think it would be fun to experiment with the same concept but based on North American prototypes...

Here’s something you don’t see every day: an old Subaru Legacy sedan which first came to California sometime between 1987 and 1993, based on its license plate number.
