Why do so many feel like they've fallen behind?

It's not because of immigrants, trans people, DEI, the “deep state,” or any other bogeyman trotted out by the GOP.

It's because big corporations and billionaires have rigged markets and siphoned off most of the economy's gains.

Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff isn’t working for the US, or for humanity. He’s working for Vladimir Putin. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Nobody, I repeat…nobody should be surprised by this. Steve Witkoff works for Donald Trump. Donald Trump works for Vladimir Putin. So of course Witkoff works for Putin as well. It’s despicable, it’s traitorous, but it sure the hell isn’t surprising.

Trump is working for Putin. Why this is even in question just boggles me -- he's doing that little twerp's bidding, had done from the start.
A private call between Trump-appointed envoy Steve Witkoff and Putin advisor Yuri Ushakov was just leaked — and it shows the American envoy effectively acting as a strategist for Moscow.
NEWSFLASH: Witkoff was secretly giving Russians advice
A secret transcript reveals that the Trump envoy was helping a Putin advisor formulate a plan.

Disagree. He voted for Trump, but he didn't vote for his wife to be kidnapped. Too many Trump voters focused on his promises to lower prices, discounted the rest. Stupid, yes. But this is a voter who can be turned from MAGA. 'Fuck you' isn't how you do it.
Well fuck you and your wife Jim Brown. You asked for this. Take your tears elsewhere.

Welp ... I renewed our service agreement on the HVAC systems at our house. Price went up $200 -- due to tariffs, they told me.
I re-upped a prescription -- last time it cost me $125 for my co-pay. This time it's $319. Trump says prices are going down! He's a lying @#$%&!.

Understand that the Halligan thing is 100% Pam Bondi's fuck-up. She could have appointed Halligan Special Attorney and this thing would still be alive.

So it's not just that HALLIGAN is an incompetent bigot.

It's that Bondi is too.
November 24, 2025 at 6:43 PM
They forced him to spend money on lawyers. I am sure that's some small consolation to Trump.
I wonder if Trump will be told that James Comey can't be retried because of Bondi's incompetence.

Comey was indicted on September 25. 2025. Five days later, the statute of limitations ran out. So Pam Bondi wasting those five days with an illegitimate prosecutor means that Comey can’t be retried.

Let us pray this comes to pass. Oh how I will revel in the glory of the Squeaker of the House losing the gavel he has so sorely abused.
PUNCHBOWL: “.. GOP members messaged us over the weekend saying that they, too, are considering retiring in the middle of the term. Here’s one particularly exercised senior House Republican:

All impeachable offenses -- and if we had a functioning Congress they'd put a stop to it before it got off the ground.
Really looks like the United States is about to launch a regime change war against Venezuela with:

-No casus belli
-No authorization from Congress
-No allies or international support
-No plan for a post-Maduro Venezuela
-No preparation for any sort of stabilization or containment of the fallout

This pretty well sums it up.

All I want is a functioning government, in which corruption is rooted out, not rewarded, and ethics is not a quaint notion, but a bedrock principle.

Even the text of the alleged "peace agreement" between Russia and Ukraine being touted by the Trump administration betrays its Kremlin origins. They were in such a such a rush they didn't even have it properly translated.

Got this early on from a parish priest. Bullshit then, bullshit now. Here's a simple solution for any dude who is just way too stimulated in the company of women and girls. LEAVE THE ROOM. Go home and take a shower. Then call a therapist because you need help.

Everything wrong in our politics, right here. It used to be we expected our leaders to behave with dignity and decorum. Character mattered once. It's past time to get back to that place where abusive behavior was a career-ender.
It matters if the president is a bad person

Boggles the mind. If ever there were a case for revoking tenure and firing a professor, surely an admission that he was preying on a student would be it.
Harvard: “Because Larry Summers asked his close friend, a convicted sex offender and the leader of a vast pedophilia ring, for advice on making sexual advances on a young mentee, we are cutting off all his responsibilities except close contact with undergraduate women.”

Just for the record: Barely legal would be just over the line. So ... 18 and a day. Anyone younger than 18 is not 'barely legal.' She's a child. The law says she can't consent, so if you have relations with her, it's rape. Guys go to jail for it. Epstein's creepy clients should, too.
November 15, 2025 at 3:42 PM
Should be obvious by now that Trump is pardoning people who pay him off.

On the upside, if the House goes back in session, Johnson will have no more excuses for refusing to swear in the new rep from AZ.

We need to get Wall Street out of health care at the same time. No way should hedge funds own hospitals. These are not profit centers. These are public services.
You may not agree, but I think it’s time for Dems from coast to coast to run on Medicare for all.

We do NOT need health insurance companies at all.

Period.

They serve no valuable societal purpose other than to add cost to healthcare and drive people crazy.
