Ontzettend trots dat ik gisteren de Sociologische Bril heb gewonnen met mijn boek De net-niet elite. Wat een compliment en wat een waardering.

Er is een bepaalde stem in het publieke debat die ik de ‘populisme-versteher’ zou noemen. Naar het voorbeeld van de Putin-versteher.
Het zijn mensen die het populisme analyseren, maar daar stiekem ook pleitbezorger van zijn. René Cuperus is daar een mooi voorbeeld van.

René Cuperus wil al tijden dat het rechtspopulisme omarmd wordt.
Nu bepleit hij een ‘monsterverbond’ tussen establishment en populisten om Europa te versterken.
Enige wat hij vergeet te vermelden is dat deze populisten fel tegen Europa zijn. Je bereikt dan eerder het omgekeerde: verlamming.

De problemen van 'migratie' en 'politieke verdeeldheid' wil Cuperus in één klap oplossen door een (accuraat benaamd) monsterverbond tussen 'establishmentpolitiek' en 'populisten', waarmee hij puur doelt op rechts-populisten.
