Figuring out how to do raycasting in #pico8. First pass is kinda slow. The number in the bottom right is the fraction of available CPU time consumed: at 1.0 we will start dropping frames. So I'm going to need to give myself more headroom if I want to draw floor, ceiling, sprites and HUD too.

I don't really post much so uh. Did you know "henchman" originally meant like, a stable groom and then just sort of servant or lackey? "Hench" was an old English word for horse. I thought that was neat.

I was looking at pictures of this bridge the other day, the Puente Nuevo in Ronda, Spain. I love it, the cliffs are beautiful, and the bridge looks like part of a Romance. But looking at it, I had one question.

Watched Brigadoon and heard the most insane explanation for its central conceit
"A gang of witches were coming. We know witches aren't real, but we were scared. So our priest made a deal with God, that Brigadoon would vanish & reappear for 1 day every 100 years. Then he left. That was 2 days ago."
