Charging asylum seekers for tents and increasing council and hap tenants rents in the same week. Hitting the most vulnerable
"ASYLUM SEEKERS COULD have to pay up to €1,000 a month to live in tented accommodation under new rules introduced by the government...living in international protection accommodation will have to pay a contribution towards their accommodation of up to 39.6% of their income." #Ireland #SpéirGhorm

If telling the troops not to follow illegal orders is “sedition,” what do we call colluding with the Kremlin to manipulate the U.S. President into advancing Russian interests over America’s?

Too many American policies can be undone by a single administration.

After the next real POTUS fixes everything, new rules need to be put into place that require a 2/3 congressional approval or more than one POTUS to enact these policies.

Drilling on or selling national land
ICE
DOGE
etc.
A new federal directive by Mehmet Oz allows the sharing of Medicaid applicant data with DHS effective immediately, rescinding previous “interagency integrity” firewalls. This forces mixed-status families into an impossible calculus: access life-saving medical care or remain invisible to enforcement.

Effective today, a new federal directive allows immigration enforcement to access state healthcare enrollment data, TPS ends for thousands of Burmese war refugees, plus Kristi Noem explainer video.

There is one reason for having a bigger car, which I've seen with my compact. It's that as you age, it becomes difficult to get into and out of a car where the seat is too low. Already I have to use the door frame and door to help me stand again. Not everybody is the same, but gov don't care.

Horrible.

The cheapest car (a little Fiat) that fits my wife's mobility scooter uses 100% of her PIP mobility allowance. When/if she needs a bigger scooter with hoist we'll need to subsidise the cost of a bigger car to maintain her mobility. But she seems to be saying that won't be allowed?

If you are eligible for the mobility component of PIP, you can spend *your own money* topping that up to have a great accessible car. Critics should ask: Why are you against this? What it is about disabled people that makes you believe it’s wrong to have nice things they paid for themselves?

"Trump’s threat apparently got the BBC to censor something that is obviously correct. Trump is the most corrupt president in U.S. history; it’s not even a close call, and the open flaunting of his corruption and self-dealing are an essential feature of his presidency on a near-daily basis."
In case you missed this, the BBC edited a historian's speech about Trump to remove the claim that he's "the most openly corrupt president in US history." This came after Trump had threatened a $1 billion lawsuit.

Elite capitulation continues.

Read all about it here:

Trump Angrily Threatened to Sue BBC. Then Things Took a Darker Turn.
First, British Broadcasting Corporation execs resigned after Trump complained about a segment. Now the BBC edited out a line from a historian that was critical of Trump. Where does this end?

I imagine many of us said stuff aged 13 that we would be mortified about. But to double down on it and call people liars, rather than say “maybe I did but I’ve grown, I’ve learned and I’m a different person” tells you that Farage has not grown, he has not learned and he is absolutely the same today

ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.
