Familiengrab von Käthe Kollwitz mit von ihr gestaltetem Relief. Tod, Krieg & Schmerz, v.a. der Tod ihres Sohnes Peter im 1. WK, prägten Kollwitz tief. "Ruht im Frieden seiner Hände" aus Goethes West-Östlichem Divan wählte sie als Titel des Hand-Reliefs.

Auf dem Foto ein Grabstein der Familie Kollwitz. Neben Käthe Kollwitz liegen dort noch ihr Mann Karl Kollwitz, Kollwitz‘ Bruder Konrad Schmidt, seine Frau Anna Schmidt und Georg Stern, der Ehemann von Käthes jüngerer Schwester Lisbeth. Auf dem Stein ein Relief aus Bronze mit einer dunklen, naturbelassenen Patina, Das Relief ist relativ klein, leicht abgerundet in rechteckiger Form. Die zentrale Figur ist ein zusammengerollter, in ein Tuch gehüllter Körper, eine Tote oder ein Sterbender. Die Figur wird von zwei großen Händen umschlossen. Die Hände erscheinen sanft und beschützend. Links neben dem Grab ein roter japanischer Ahornstrauch, im Hintergrund Thujen, auf dem Grab ein paar Blümchen.
