100% agreed. If act 3 was exactly the same content, but placed in a new sector you couldn't get to before? Great, love it, thanks.
The way it is, hidden throughout in random spot-lit corners? Seriously reduced my enthusiasm for the game. Perfect game up to a point, then it dives off a cliff.

I remember struggling with HK after too much exploration, yea. Just checked, I quit after 22 hours, lol.

That said, HK:SS felt speedy up to the "fast" ending of act 2. I got that after 48h. I'd argue the critical path is well structured and labelled, less exhausting than HK.

Could be said that act 3 tells you what to do: kill three bosses, marked on the map, and go to the final boss. But only two of the three bosses have clear paths, the third... I would've looked for DAYS to find the entrance.

It moves from solo to collaborative "read a guide" play at a jarring speed.

In acts 1+2 you can check the map and spot locked doors, rooms you only partially explored, or gaps you couldn't cross before. Made me find my way forward without any guidance, I always found my own solutions.
Act 3? Your new ability exclusively works with hidden exits, good luck testing every room.
