“It’s a much better experience,” said Rory O’Sullivan, a city attorney candidate who worked on the original Democracy Vouchers levy a decade ago. Because of vouchers, “fundraising means just talking to voters, which is different than a normal campaign, where what it means is calling millionaires."
Democracy Vouchers make dent with young voters, candidates
Despite low usage, supporters say the program can incentivize candidates to take young voters' concerns seriously and can help improve turnout.

My definition of public safety includes housing people. I hope to earn the support of voters who share that value. The backbone of my career as a poverty law and legal aid attorney has been fighting to keep people housed. Ballots are due August 5. #seattle #waelex

Priorities matter. I will lead the city’s law firm with a much different set than Ann Davison. #waelex #seattle

We make ranked choice decisions all the time. It’s intuitive and I look forward to our city adopting it in 2027.

We feel your pain, #seattle voters. We are here to help.

Unbelievable. Or maybe not…
Seattle deserves better.

The city's housing committee, headed by Mark Solomon (and previously Cathy Moore), was unable to meet officially today because committee members Sara Nelson and Rob Saka won't go to the meeting, denying the committee a quorum. Saka is currently sitting in his office.

Once again, the conservative City Council is screwing over Seattle‘s renters.

Thank you for sharing the link. I have learned a lot. I am sure that our well-intentioned volunteer was not aware of a history when he made what was intended to be a lighthearted video.

Here's my theory of the case: the City Attorney runs the law firm that represents the people of Seattle. You deserve a city attorney with a clear, bold vision for how to make your life better.
