In my contracts file I label all contracts Author Name 1/Book Title/Publisher because I know there will be Author Name 2 and more coming and I can't wait to see it for them all

Forgot to update this so 2 months later: 10/8 on sub, 1 ready to go in Jan, 1 in late stage edits, 2 pushed off in favor of other projects first, 1 offer email just sent, 1 ms to read to maybe offer on, then back to inbox. And I've made it to the last semifinal of the US Open!
3 more weeks later: 3/8 on sub, 2 *this close* to submission-ready, 4 in general or late stage edits, 1 offer made (and declined), 1 100% new ms to start next week before 2 more clients send new mss. And I've made it halfway through the 3rd round of the US Open!
3 weeks later: 3/8 *this close* to submission-ready, 1 in final edits-I need to start the proposal, 3 in general edits, 4 are 100% new mss so have to wait. (Yes that's more than 8; my clients-and I-have been BUSY.) + a deadline is soon on a full I know I'm gonna want to offer on

Any chronic pain moms out there willing to be interviewed for Sarah's kick ass exploration of how societal expectations of being a "good mother" harm all women? She's writing about motherhood through the lens of her own and others' chronic pain and the book comes out Fall of '27. Let me know!

Last night my wife took me to a surprise concert I wasn’t too excited about, but I figured she’d enjoy it and I love her so okay. On the way home I found out she didn’t really want to go but thought I loved this artist. So anyway we got to see Neko Case, it was great, a fun time.

Had the most unhinged interaction with a customer (I work at a bookstore) that I’ve had in ages yesterday (and it took like 45 min, maybe longer?) so I guess we’re truly in retail holiday season now 🙄🙃
