genuinely hilarious that a Senator posted yesterday about how insider trading in Congress is bad and within 24 hours Congress got together to declare they will never accept socialism

While progressives often get accused of undermining the Democratic Party, the evidence shows that it’s the moderate wing that most often violates the “Vote Blue No Matter Who” principle.

America is beautiful, contradictory, unfinished. I am proud of our country even as we constantly strive to make it better, to protect and deepen our democracy, to fulfill its promise for each and every person who calls it home.

A Muslim son of immigrants might become mayor of NYC in part because he cross endorsed and supported a Jewish candidate and Black candidate, and vice versa.

It's a beautiful American story for the rest of us. A nightmare for all the right people ;)

It's so New York.

New Yorkers. Look at what is happening in LA. It will happen here. Who will you be? Which mayor do you want when that time comes?

In the meantime, we have an election with huge consequences:

Do not rank Cuomo. Vote for Zohran Mamdani.

Here's the bonkers thing about the Data for Progress poll: It has Mamdani's favorables at 58-15 and Cuomo's at 48-49 (with THIRTY-SIX PERCENT very unfavorable).

If the people who hate Cuomo figure out that Zohran is the way to stop him, this could turn into a bloodbath.

"but Zohran Mamdani has no prior executive experience!!!"

Neither did Eric Adams, Bill DeBlasio, Mike Bloomberg, Rudy Giuliani, David Dinkins, or Ed Koch.

Zohran Mamdani's background as a legislator is right in line with nearly every mayor NYC has elected in the last 50 years.
The last NYC mayor who had prior experience as an elected executive was... Abraham Beame. It's literally been over 50 years.

Criticizing Zohran Mamdani for this is beyond ridiculous.

but not enough “the establishment/center is blowing this race by uniting behind a sexual harasser/corrupt weirdo like Cuomo” takes

Cuomo: 51%
Mamdani: 49%
