There it is. The moment I gave up.
From day one the speculation was "who is Rey related to ftom the original cast?"
And I knew any answer would be dumb. Ryan Johnson coming out and saying "She's just Rey. The force can pop up anywhere" was great.
That felt like the force was healing.

When I click on someone's profile and scroll their posts, their bio stays frozen at the top, so I can't even read one full post because the screen in 3/4 bio, header, pfp etc. What gives?

it was a constant battle between the insane chemistry of the leads & the blinding white-hot talent of vince gilligan & darin morgan versus the worst writing a freshman college student ever spun out after reading nikos kazantzakis & dostoevsky

I am physically incapable of not investigating weird noises at work, but 80% of the time it's just AirGas delivering N2 and/or Ar. The other 20% of the time it's lawnmowers.

Living out in the cornfields leads to some interesting sights. Today I saw a PT Cruiser with an International Harvester badge on the front grill.

The NTSB's preliminary report on the UPS 2976 crash looks an awful lot like American 191. The pictures from the surveillance are ones I had not seen before and are extremely clear. I would bet this is the end of the tri-jets.

We have learned that Luna will tell us she's in pain by being an asshole. She's on gabapentin now and I have to call pet insurance to see what getting an MRI might cost. She's only like five and we think she has lower back pain.

Ironically, ICE is migratory and is moving south to avoid things that make their livelihoods harder (Chicago's community and weather).
Charlotte is turning into Chicago in the course of a day. My husband went to work earlier this afternoon and was informed Hispanic staff were sent home due to an ICE raid around the block in which all the Hispanic employees were rounded up and arrested. Fuck ICE.
A Charlotte pastor said Border Patrol came into his church and made an arrest in front of children. They cried “a lot,” he said.
“We are trying to clean the property. We didn’t know this is gonna happen.”
