It seems our democratic senators are unwilling to push the issue just at the point when the genpop would be actually affected by the shutdown. We are at the point where the whole fucking exercise would make fucking sense. Most Feds want this sacrifice to mean something and want the dems to hold out.
Do not be fooled. Many civil servants would rather sacrifice in the short term so our fellow citizens have affordable health care and the lawless power the big ugly bill gives the executive branch. Power of the purse belongs ti congress not to the president through pocket recessions.
Hundreds of other AFGE members agree with us. Keep spreading this where you can and keep collecting signatures. We need Congress to hold the line. Solidarity for all, not just some.
