👀 WOW — “Speaker Johnson is stalling Grijalva until Van Epps gets there to cancel out her vote?”

TN-7 nominee @aftynbehn.bsky.social tells us Johnson plans for Van Epps to help him cover up the Epstein files. (His weak answer to NC5 is another clue🕵️ )
That occured to me, too. He's a sneaky little weasel. But Aftyn is going to win and put ANOTHER blue seat in there, and then there'll be 219 signatures on that thing. Also, Jefferies will be that much closer to being SPEAKER instead of that Louisaina swamp rat. Go Aftyn, GO!!

You really think Americans aren’t going to notice? You effing jerk!
Like shoppers aren't going to notice that this is a blatant lie. He must think we're as stupid as he is.

Greene: "I will praise Nancy Pelosi. She had an incredible career for her party. I served under her speakership in my first term in Congress and I'm very impressed at her ability to get things done. I wish we could get things done for our party like Nancy Pelosi was able to deliver for her party."

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 94th day out of the last 106.

12 days of work in 106 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.
I’m not, but it is fascinating. I will say one thing, Adam. She’s probably doing nothing for her reelection next year in her district. Those folks are diehard MAGA.
Trump was on the ballot. Every candidate he endorsed lost. His policies lost. The republican shutdown lost. All very much Trump.
Qasim, I will always try to inform myself about my neighbors. You have my promise about that. I know that I know very little about your culture and faith. I do know enough to have respect for both. Let us live in peace.

Got tired of reading the news and getting mad. Feeding America backs 200+ food banks around the country and I've seeded with $500 for now. I'll match up to another $500 myself.

Pass the hat, RTs graciously appreciated, etc.
I'm supporting Feeding America!

I apologize for my ignorance. I should have read first. I was arrogant and you rightly called me on it.
The way you write about Muslim law is the same as Talmudic law and what should be, as a derivative, The Christian viewpoint. Alas, it is not because greed, lust for power, and avarice took hold and are very difficult to root out. I see your point though. I took the question the wrong way and 1/
Shariah law only applies to one small group, not the majority. Am I wrong?
I would have a problem with a crackdown on LGBTQ life. That’s definitely a problem. From what I know about it, my main concern would be restrictions on women’s rights. But the evangelical folks do essentially the same thing. They just don’t call it Shariah law. From what I understand of that faith,2
No, not at all, Qasim. I just know hard headed New Yorkers. Shariah law or the facsimile would have them screaming. They love their vices too much. Some of it wouldn’t bother me. I don’t smoke or use any form of tobacco so that’s not a problem. I rarely drink. No real issue there. 1/
Hadn’t occurred to me, frankly, but considering that he’s done a terrible job of running the entire show en masse, perhaps breaking it into smaller “states” with some autonomy would work. But it does show his paranoia, doesn’t it?
