Playing ALL THE board games and regularly forgetting things while remaining a life-long resident of this Great Plains "Red State." Someday we'll be a bastion for socialist farmers again. Yeah, that could happen.

We need to weed out this mentality that people, other than our own special circles, have no inherent value. Their efforts and existence have meaning, even if we never directly benefit from them. Transactionalism is a disease, and it's spreading from the top.
Find the time to watch this and then reflect on the pressure to be divided, to see difference as a threat, in the U.S. and the world.

This game might pose a perfect balance of skill and luck. You could say half of my good decisions were based an observable game state, and the rest a matter of providence. Either way, it's pretty good time.

A little two-handed solo before bed, and it was a great clash. Achilles, Patroclus, and Cage were all at 1 health before Luke maneuvered into an attack card to finish off Achilles. Misty was hanging in there at 3.

Well, it's a start.
I was mildly surprised to find myself letting out a breath of relief at this news. There are worse people in our government, sure, but can we please avoid reelecting career politicians, who mistake longevity for merit?

We really need to start kicking these fuckers off our ride.
Alex Bruesewitz, an adviser to US President Donald Trump, told leaders of the far-right Alternative for Germany — classified as an extremist party by German authorities — that he sees them as “bold visionaries” shaping the country’s future.

I just think it's weird when people are clearly using FB's prompted greetings when it is the birthday of someone who has been dead for years.
"Smile: It's your birthday!"
"Enjoy your birthday! 🎉🎊🎂"
"Happy Birthday! Enjoy your day! 🎉🎈"

We are being programmed.

Wrapping up this festive Friday with a first time viewing of Withnail and I.

It is not what I expected: better, rawer, trippier. I don't think I've felt this way about a film since Easy Rider in my early 20s. Or maybe Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Natural Born Killers, even. Glorious madness.

Speaking as a dude who has a yearly family reunion, "aunt" and "uncle" fill a role, what the fuck are you supposed to call all those other older people you're vaguely related to, do you think there's someone running around with an org chart saying who's a second cousin thrice removed or something

He probably flies the Stars and Bars in the back of his pickup truck window. No, not because he's a Confederate sympathizer, but just because it's like ironic and cool, bro.

A KFile investigation has uncovered mounting evidence that Platner — a Marine veteran— was aware of and defended the use of Nazi symbolism that had come to be embraced by some members of the military.

I'm reminded of Nazi Germany, near the end of the war, when they diverted resources desperately needed elsewhere so that they could keep sending trains to concentration camps.

No reason, just a thought that popped into my head.

Did you know that over 1.3M active duty service members and veterans rely on SNAP benefits to feed themselves and their families?

Now you know.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

It's 54 with a mild southern wind. She gonna get tough.
