Grateful to ride with @bikeaction.org tonight after yet another Philadelphia cyclist was murdered this week. Our safety is just worth more than your convenience.

The judge ordered the city to stop taking parking spaces to create bike-friendly loading zones -- so trucks will then either stop traffic, or stop in the bike lane (MUCH more likely)

The judge's quote at the end is killing me. Of course this would help prevent trucks & cars from stopping in bike lanes! The residents' interests have been adversely affected?! How about my interest of me & my husband coming home alive?

“Ask for what actually fixes the problem — and then go out there and fight for it.”

On Monday, @elizabeth-warren.bsky.social came to NYC to talk about universal childcare, and why we shouldn’t listen to billionaires who say making life affordable for working families isn't possible.

Well I was just biking in the Spruce St bike lane and in front of me I see a city parking enforcement employee ticketing cars parked in the bike lane! I declared my love for this man! (Sorry husband @bennydoc.bsky.social) More of this please, Philly!!!!!

Just a reminder that literally nothing can happen - anonymous comments made on Facebook! - and you can write a big negative story about a politician if you don't like them and have it blasted across social media with a negative photo choice

Trump and Miller are intent on building an unaccountable domestic secret police force that would be the world's third-biggest security force by funding levels, after the US and China's *militaries*.

That kind of funding dwarfs its stated purpose, which tells you what its real purpose will be.

The Senate just passed the largest cut to low-income programs in a single law in history. It would rip health insurance from more than 10 million people & take food assistance away from millions of households, including families w/ kids.

It now goes to the House where we have a chance to defeat it.

Seventh set of Byrd droppings is out, and WOW!

We won on trans care in Medicaid, provider taxes, FMAP, immigrants in Medicaid, and other issues.

These victories are amazing for the people they help - and cost Rs more than $250 billion of their savings by rough calculations, largely not curable.

Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn tweets:

STATEMENT: PARTY CHAIR BICHOTTE HERMELYN ON ZOHRAN MAMDANI'S VICTORY IN THE NYC DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY
Zohran Mamdani campaigned on making our city more affordable. The people have spoken and as the clear winner of the Democratic primary, I support Mamdani in the general election.
To everyone who had reservations, I ask you to put them aside in this moment and come together for the future of our city and our party. Mamdani has shown he is committed to representing all Democrats from every neighborhood and borough, as evidenced by his overwhelming victory in Brooklyn and across the city. Brooklyn stands firmly behind Zohran Mamdani as we head into November. Let's unite as Democrats for a brighter future for our city.
