Here's a video of the v well organised Black Country poetry gig I was part of on Monday. Nice one @emmapurshouse.bsky.social! I especially enjoyed reading one of Dave Reeves' poems. Wish he was still with us to read it himself.

Had a smashing time on Monday doing a bit of an online talk about Black Country poetry in terms of some of the poems and poets that have appeared in the Blackcountryman over its 50 or so years of being published. If anybody would like a butcher's then the link is in the next comment.

It was such a lovely afternoon. It was so wonderful how many people turned out! My publishers are very happy with the book sales too.
Huge thanks to everyone who packed out KTeas Cakes in Wolverhampton earlier to listen to poems from @emmapurshouse.bsky.social and myself, and queued up to buy copies of our books at the end of the event. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. 🙏

If anybody is in the Penn area of Wolverhampton on Friday then I'm reading at the library. It'd be great to see you if you can make it...

Went up Wolves today to get my dad some jeans. Couldn't find any, so I thought I'd go to the Art Gallery, but two rooms were closed and to go in two of the other rooms you had to pay, so that was all a bit of a fail 😂. But on the plus side I had some cake at K-Teas Cakes. Yum.

Looking forward to this one already. K-Teas Cakes do fantastic cakes...yum!
