Sometimes poetry needs to be political.
The first of today's trains was delayed by 'defective track'. Now a signalling fault has left this one stuck at a station for over an hour. Sometimes it's hard to escape the feeling this country's infrastructure is falling apart....

Apparently, they sold the world the idea there was a ceasefire.

There wasn't.

There was the illusion of one.

The killing still continues.

Tony? Are you there, Tony??
So if Tony Blair is part of Trump’s peace council…

…where is he while Israel continues to breach ceasefire, bulldoze homes, kill children and restrict humanitarian aid?
November 27, 2025 at 9:28 AM
Our leaders are pretending there’s a ceasefire. There isn’t.
Two Palestinians were killed and several others wounded after Israeli shelling hit the area near Beit Lahia Square in northern Gaza.

As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza persists, goods produced in illegal Israeli settlements in the OPT continue to be imported into Britain's markets - proceeds of a crime under international law.

The govt must urgently ban the import of these goods and press for aid to flow into Gaza.

"Reform slide to lowest polling since April"
Great news as people are waking up to the reality of Reform, corruption, racism, misogyny, failing councils and Farage a man finally showing his true character.

It’s a thought…
Instead of a government led by human rights lawyers, perhaps we need a government led by human rights defendants.

Jeez.
Fun fact I couldn't mention until now: At the time Graham Linehan was harassing Sophia Brooks online, I was contacted by her former teachers and School Safeguarding Team to get her latest contact details, as they were worried sick about her being publicly stalked by an abusive alcoholic celebrity.

Since 2011 the fuel duty freeze has cost the Treasury £133 billion.

This huge amount could have paid for lower train and bus fares, better stations, safer walking, wheeling and cycling and much more!

The chancellor will also highlight a rise in the minimum wage and plans to cut energy bills as she tries to win over voters by focusing on cost of living

I see we're back to minimising the suffering and murder of Palestinians with that well-worn phrase "Hamas-run health ministry says". FFS, BBC.

If you want to know why Reform is coming, read this typically incisive dissection of Alison Pearson's latest column by the indispensable Mic Wright.
NEW | The Daily Telegraph, anti-immigrant rhetoric, and some very weird Winnie the Pooh fan fiction...

A column from Allison Pearson shows how Labour's attitude to asylum seekers will never be cruel enough for the Right.
