A bit older than that thankfully. I simply do not have it in my to care for a toddler for more than an hour!
Unfortunately she has 4 other kids so I'm not sure one being missing makes too much difference! My nephew had a brilliant time being an only child for a few days tho
It's good to do this once a year to remind myself that I am simply not cut out for parenthood
Been responsible for a child for three days and I feel like I've been run over seventeen times

I assume officially he doesn't believe in it but clearly his feelings on the matter aren't hugely strong. Bet he has opinions on priestly celibacy tho
More polarised than ever. Sure sure. More stupid than ever, maybe.
Is England perfect? Not at all but you know I do appreciate not being burnt at the stake for having Wrong Thoughts about mass
Burst out laughing at the bishop of York claiming that today's world is "more polarised than ever" while celebrating the king having out with the pope for the first time in 600 years because of all the BURNING EACH OTHER ALIVE people did in the 1500s

Much like Hillsborough, you have to marvel at how Britain as a system is so utterly impervious to accountability: decades of orchestrated bullshit, legal shenanigans and institutional roadblocks, and then one final great rasping fart of “maybe it was elves that did it, and fuck you”.

As we await a verdict in the trial of Soldier F, another reminder that in 2010 the Bloody Sunday inquiry found

- the killings were unjustified
- none of the 14 dead (7 of whom were children) had guns
- no warnings were given
- no soldiers were under threat
- the troops were the first to open fire

Glad to see Celebrity Traitors is no different than regular Traitors when it comes to reading intelligent analysis of what's going on as a cause for suspicion. David Olusoga: "Think logically. Don't get swept along by groupthink." The rest: "He's being too clever. Burn him!"
13 books of seeing them only as miles's sensible political parents and it turns out they've been shagging their way through the empire and living in a throuple.
Am on the final Vorkosigan book (sob) and the reveal that Cordelia and Aral are and have always been Sex People has truly delighted me
Unfortunately I have now learned and am once again annoyed that I know things about what are effectively local elections in random states
Same. I have established that it is some local American politics and as such I shall refuse to ever find out any more (I will definitely at some point to learn more against my will)

Slightly surreal that a significant plot point in the tv show I'm watching is a character writing and pitching the exact book I'm writing next

From the Merrimack Valley Horror Festival today:
My agent suggested Penny Guin which leads me to wonder what scams he is pulling in his spare time
Were I running a scam on authors I probably would choose the name 'Harper Lynn Collins' to un it under but I guess that's why I don't run scams
Finally got a stupid ai written bookclub scam email. Was beginning to feel a bit left out.
