I’m old, and this may be a product of that, but is anybody else viscerally upset by LED lights replacing neon everywhere?

Neon has a beautiful, living glow. LED lights ALWAYS look garish and searing. There is no subtly, nuance or art - just loud, perfectly-colored light in cheap plastic tubing.
