It’s great to see but am I crazy for finding it kind of wild that a tennis hotel is going up in Washington Park of all places? Is that XS Tennis Foundation a bigger deal than I realize it is?

Across the street from the XS Tennis facility, a proposed development with two buildings; one would be a Hyatt Studios with 125 rooms and the other would be a residential building with 51 affordable dwelling units, sharing 72 car parking spaces.

there are two steps left in the Broadway corridor upzoning (zoning cmte. + city council)

Passing both steps isn’t guaranteed so showing up in SUPPORT on Tuesday is needed to counter those who prefer the status quo

Apparently there was once a hotel on the site of the parking lot at 60th and stoney island right across from the soon to open Obama Presidential Center. Would have had unobstructed views of the park. Even had a garage, but that didn't save it from the wrecking ball.
