The council member is totally right. If the downtown council, Mayor Frey and his allies don’t condemn this anti-Minneapolis propaganda, they’re teeing up Republicans to run statewide on this garbage next year. They’re willing to risk a GOP governor or leg to make sure their stooge remains mayor.

The STOP Slumlords ordinance is okay, but City should also adequately resource orgs that support renters in all properties. Mpls contracts w/ HOME Line @ $125K/year to operate our hotline—we advise 5,000+ Minneapolis renter households/year. 1,500+ inquired about habitability issues last year alone.
