Abolishing ICE is only the beginning. Have you looked at your local cops?

..

According to mappingpoliceviolence.us, police kill at least three people per day; from a meta analysis published in NYT, we now know the number could be six or even more.

Typically weird Strib Frey post-election story ignoring clear evidence he lost the Somali vote badly. Precinct 6-3 (Cedar-Riv) went 79% for Frey in 2021 but **87%** for Fateh in 2025. (It wasn’t redistricted.) Frey has courted Somalis, but not story this time. www.startribune.com/minneapolis-...

Camden is an underfunded school in North Minneapolis, and they weren’t able to put on a fall play this year due to lack of funding. Camden Drama Club is a very important space for queer kids who don’t have a lot of safe spaces in their lives, and they need to raise funds to continue. Can you help?
Today is Give to the Max day, & did u know MPS does not fund the arts, like theater. Camden Drama Club exists due to generous donations from ppl like u, and we have a $7,000 need to cover in order to continue to provide the best award-winning high school theater: www.givemn.org/organization...

This is far worse than anyone expected.

Trump's HUD plan would cut *two-thirds* of permanent housing and push as many as 170,000 formerly homeless people back onto the street—redirecting funds to work mandates, forced treatment, and encampment sweeps.

All as mass internment camps are being built.

Why has the government been closed at all if Senate Dems cave now? Didn't they say that they could not go along with throwing millions of people off health care?

What's materially changed? A *promise* is not action. ALSO fascists lie and I've been told by some Senate Dems that the GOP is fascist.

Democrats ran the table on Tuesday at state and local levels, getting not just its base excited but “normies” fed up over the last 10mo, so of course national Democrats want to do everything to pop the air in the balloon.
At this point, it’s clear that the Hamburglar, Dr Evil, and Sideshow Bob are advising Chuck Schumer.

DA’s 🧵 is worth reading & I would only note that Davis spent a good part of the campaign with ZERO paid staff. The Minneapolis “middle” (center-left, whatever you want to call it) doesn’t have any sort of durable campaign infrastructure. Frey does & DSA does. You need 2+ years to win mayor‘s race.
this analysis is strange in that it doesnt answer the fundamental question about Minneapolis voters - if Frey's multiple lies and polarizing ways were truly against their values and they were tired of it, why did they not choose Davis? www.startribune.com/jacob-frey-r...
